In addition to helping Wandsworth be a good place to do business and ensuring that local residents have access to skills and employment, the EDO supports the local economy, in particular small enterprises, and fosters Wandsworth’s reputation as a business friendly borough.
The EDO works with partners including Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce (WCC), Town Centre Partnerships, the Nine Elms Vauxhall Partnership and other business organisations to:
◦Encourage investment in the Borough to meet the needs and aspirations of existing and future Wandsworth residents
◦Actively support the local economy, particularly small enterprises, and our five town centres
◦Encourage and support access to employment for local residents
◦Transform Nine Elms into a world class business and residential quarter
◦Promote aspiration, social mobility, focussing on 18-24 year olds and an improved physical environment in some of the borough’s most deprived areas such as Latchmere and Roehampton.
